Registration is open for the Foundation of Collier County Medical Society’s 7th Annual “Docs and Duffers” charity golf tournament at Tiburón Golf Club on September 26th. Tee-off is at 9:00am, and includes an enjoyable day of golf, hosted refreshments, a variety of contests, and lunch. Appropriate safety precautions will be in effect, to ensure everyone has a safe, fun experience.

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization launched by the Medical Society in 2012. The tournament will benefit the Foundation’s scholarship programs for students pursuing degrees in healthcare, and funding for local healthcare programs in need. We continue to think of the students whose studies were interrupted and futures become uncertain during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a time when our scholarships to healthcare students are even more critical for them to continue their career paths, and to ensure we all have more healthcare workers to care for us in years to come.

“We awarded $34,500 in scholarships last year alone and plan to continue supporting many more outstanding healthcare students,“ said Dr. Rolando Rivera, board chair of the Foundation. “Docs & Duffers, our signature fundraiser, makes these awards possible and showcases the commitment of CCMS members and our partners to quality healthcare in our community, which has become especially crucial with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Golf registration rates are $185 per person or $680 per foursome. Goodie bags, hosted beverages, and lunch are included. Sponsorship and underwriting packages are available starting at $550, allowing companies in-person access to the golfers and publicity to all members of the medical society.

Interested golfers, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers may call (239) 435-7727 or visit www.ccmsfoundation.org for details.
