Registration is open for The Foundation of Collier County Medical Society’s 6th Annual “Docs and Duffers” charity golf tournament and raffle at Bonita Bay Club Naples on September 28th. Tee-off is at 8:45am, and includes an enjoyable day of golf, awards, and a banquet luncheon.

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization launched by the Medical Society in 2012. The tournament will benefit the Foundation’s scholarship programs for students pursuing degrees in healthcare, and funding for local healthcare programs in need.

“We awarded $36,000 in scholarships last year and hope to sustain if not increase that amount in years to come, “ said Dr. Rolando Rivera, board chair of the Foundation. “Docs & Duffers, our signature fundraiser, makes these awards possible and showcases the commitment of CCMS members and our partners to quality healthcare in our community.”

Golf registration rates are $185 per person or $680 per foursome. Goodie bags, hosted beverages, and the awards luncheon are included. A limited number of sponsorship and underwriting packages are still available starting at $550, allowing companies access to the 100-plus golfers expected to attend.

Attendees and non-attendees are also invited to participate in the tournament raffle; entrants need not be present to win. The suggested donation for the raffle, which has an exciting variety of prizes, is $25 per ticket or $100 for five tickets.

Interested golfers, raffle participants, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers may call (239) 435-7727 or visit www.ccmsfoundation.org for details.

Docs & Duffers is supported in part by Advanced Urology Institute, Southwest Florida Physicians Association, Family Foot & Leg Center, Capital Bank, Naples Heart Rhythm Specialists, Germain BMW of Naples, Life in Naples Magazine, and Radiology Regional Center.
