Collier County Medical Society (CCMS), the local affiliate of the Florida Medical Association and American Medical Association, is pleased to announce the installation of its 2017-2018 president and board of directors.

Catherine N. Kowal, M.D. began her one-year term as the 60th CCMS president at the Medical Society’s 60th Anniversary Annual Meeting, May 13th at Quail Creek Country Club. This will be her 6th year on the CCMS board of directors. Dr. Kowal is a rheumatologist in private practice in North Naples, a member of the Foundation of CCMS board of directors, chair of the CCMS Women’s Health Forum Committee, and an adjunct professor of rheumatology at Nova SW University. She has practiced in Naples for 24 years.

The new 2017-2018 CCMS board of directors joining Dr. Kowal are: Dr. Cesar De Leon, Vice President; Dr. David Wilkinson, Treasurer; Dr. Rebekah Bernard, Secretary; Dr. Alejandro Perez-Trepichio, Officer/Director at Large; and Drs. Rebecca Smith and Gary Swain, Directors at Large. The board members will lead CCMS in its mission to promote quality healthcare for all patients and serve the professional needs of its members.
