CCMS Honors Physician of the Year, COVID-19 Leaders, and New Board President at Annual Meeting Celebration
CCMS members and guests met to honor local physicians at the CCMS 2021 Annual Meeting Celebration on November 13th at Arthrex One Conference Center. The event, rescheduled from this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, featured in-person award presentations and recognition of the 2021-22 CCMS President.

CCMS Physician Wellness Program receives $20,000 Contribution, Offers Service to Non-Member Physicians
This fall, the Southwest Florida Physicians Association (SWFPA) contributed $20,000 to support the CCMS Physician Wellness Program, which features confidential, convenient, cost-free access to professional psychological services for all Medical Society physician members. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CCMS has also extended these services to physicians in the county who are not currently members.
Foundation of CCMS “Docs & Duffers” charity golf tournament raises over $26,000
The 8th Annual “Docs and Duffers” charity golf tournament raised over $26,000 in net proceeds with participation from 100 golfers, 21 sponsors, and 19 volunteers. Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s scholarships for future medical professionals and funding for local healthcare programs in need

Foundation of CCMS Announces 2021 Healthcare Scholarship Winners
The board of directors of the Foundation of CCMS is pleased to announce the winners of its 2021 Foundation Healthcare Scholarship awards: Natalia Correa, Emily Gansert, Charissa Obeng-Nyarko, and Yordan Urrutia. Each student will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

CCMS Installs 64th President and New Board of Directors during Virtual Meeting
Dr. Rebekah Bernard, outgoing president passed the gavel to Dr. Alejandro Perez-Trepichio, who began his one-year term as the 64th CCMS board president at the virtual meeting on July 24th. CCMS postponed its in-person celebration to help keep its members and their families safe during the current COVID-19 surge and help ensure continuity of care for patients.
