Due to Hurricane Irma, the Foundation of CCMS has rescheduled its 4th annual “Docs and Duffers” charity golf tournament for Sunday, November 12th at Bonita Bay Club Naples. The Foundation is still accepting golf registrations, sponsorships, and prize donations. Tee-off is at 8:45am, and includes an enjoyable day of golf, awards, and a banquet luncheon. Prizes include a 3-year lease on a BMW 4-series convertible to golfers making a hole-in-one on a selected Par 5.
The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization launched by the Medical Society in 2012. The tournament will benefit the Foundation’s scholarship programs for students pursuing degrees in healthcare, and funding for local healthcare programs in need.
“This year we provided $32,500 in student scholarships, primarily from proceeds of last year’s tournament,” said Dr. Rolando Rivera, board chair of the Foundation. “Docs & Duffers is our signature fundraiser, and we thank our supporters for their patience and look forward to seeing them on our new date.”
Golf rates are $175 per person or $650 per foursome. Sponsorship and underwriting packages are available, allowing companies access to the 100-plus golfers expected to attend. Attendees and non-attendees are also invited to participate in the raffle contest; entrants need not be present to win.
