Membership Categories

1Active Members: Active members shall have the rights and privileges, duties, and obligations conferred on the Bylaws, including the right to vote, the privilege of holding office, and the duty to pay dues and assessments. Active members shall maintain a current Florida license to practice medicine, and have an active medical practice.

2Associate Members: Physicians who live or practice in Collier County who have an affiliation in another county may be Associate members of the Society, but will not be counted toward the CCMS Delegation in accordance with FMA bylaws. Associate members may not vote or hold office, but may attend meetings and be eligible to such other privileges as may be granted by the Society.

3Adjunct Members: The Society may accept as adjunct members allied medical professionals from a reputable school or approved training program, and who are licensed practitioners in the state of Florida and who are members in good standing of their respective specialty societies, as non-voting, dues paying adjunct members. Adjunct members must reside or have a clinical presence in Collier County. Adjunct members may not vote or hold office in the Society.

4Retired Members: Physicians who have completely retired from active practice, or who are permanently disabled, may be retired members. A retired member shall not vote or hold office. He/she may attend meetings and be eligible to such other privileges as may be granted by the society.
